The sun has come out here today after many cloudy days, just as Annie sings: “The sun’ll come out tomorrow. Bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow there’ll be sun! Just thinkin’ about tomorrow clears away the cobwebs, and the sorrow
’til there’s none! When I’m stuck a day that’s gray, and lonely, I just stick out my chin and grin, and say, On the sun’ll come out tomorrow so ya gotta hang on
’til tomorrow come what may
…” The sun brings a smile to people’s face, a lilt to their walk, and a brightness to their mood. It will always come out again no matter how gloomy the clouds of difficulties we feel surround us. If we can remember Annie’s words, these clouds can seem more manageable and impermanent.
